Your Mission (Should You Choose to Accept It)
We are seeking an experienced Head of Business Applications to lead our global team of Product Managers responsible for the bank's core business applications. In this senior role, you will own the full portfolio of client- and employee-facing applications, partnering closely with commercial product teams, business units, technology, and third-party vendors to shape and execute our application strategy.
Your AMINA To-Do List
- Serve as an active member of the technology leadership team, contributing to the overall technology strategy and roadmap
- Lead and develop a team of Product Managers, Application Owners, and functional experts responsible for core platforms including core banking, online and mobile banking, onboarding, and CRM solutions
- Define and drive the application strategy and architecture in close collaboration with senior management and key stakeholders
- Hold end-to-end ownership of the business application portfolio, including roadmap definition, design, operations, vendor management, SLAs, KPIs, budgeting, and continuous improvement
- Translate business needs and requirements from commercial, business, and technology functions into actionable roadmaps and scalable solutions
- Act as strategic partner and subject matter expert for all applications within your scope
- Directly own and manage select applications as Product Manager, leading backlog refinement, demand management, vendor coordination, and delivery approvals
- Drive digitization and process optimization with a focus on operational excellence
- Manage external vendor relationships, oversee contract and budget performance, and conduct regular vendor reviews
- Bridge senior management and the business applications team, ensuring seamless collaboration across business units, IT, and external partners
Your golden ticket to the AMINA team:
- University degree in Technology, Business, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience
- Proven track record in the financial services industry managing business applications or digital products, with at least 5 years of experience leading cross-functional teams
- Strong understanding of digital product management, process engineering, service management, and both agile and waterfall delivery methodologies
- Hands-on experience with core banking systems, digital channels, and client- and employee-facing applications; knowledge of crypto and digital assets is a strong advantage
- Comfortable operating at the intersection of business and technology, with strong business acumen and a genuine affinity for digital innovation
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); German is a strong plus
- ITIL, BPMN 2.0, or Lean / Six Sigma certification is an advantage
- Results-driven leader who can operate both strategically and hands-on, independently and within a team
- Excellent communicator, confident engaging stakeholders at all levels including C-suite
- Analytical, structured thinker with a proactive problem-solving mindset
- Passionate about technology and curious about the future of digital assets
