Your Mission (Should You Choose to Accept It)

As an Accounting Specialist at AMINA Bank, your mission is to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards. In the first year you will play a key role in the transition to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) for all Group entities. Post the transition you will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of our financial statements, supporting audits, and contributing to the development of robust accounting processes for a dynamic, global financial institution operating in both traditional and digital asset markets.

Your AMINA To-Do List

Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with IFRS and local regulatory requirements.
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, including reconciliations and journal entries.
Ensure accurate accounting for complex transactions, including digital assets, derivatives, and foreign currency.
Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and resolving queries.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Risk, Operations) to ensure proper accounting treatment for new products and services.
Maintain and improve internal controls over financial reporting.
Assist in implementing new IFRS standards and updating accounting policies accordingly.
Contribute to process automation and efficiency improvements within the Finance function.
Prepare management reports and analysis to support decision-making

Your golden ticket to the AMINA team:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; professional qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA) preferred.
Experience: 3–5 years of accounting experience, with strong knowledge of IFRS.
Proven experience in financial reporting and audit support.
Familiarity with accounting for financial instruments and/or digital assets is a plus.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel; experience with ERP systems preferred.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, global environment.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Bonus Points For:

Experience in banking or financial services.
Experience in an international Audit firm
Knowledge of Swiss GAAP or other international accounting frameworks.
Exposure to crypto or blockchain-related accounting
