Your Mission (Should You Choose to Accept It)
We are looking for a Senior Payments Specialist to oversee and optimize the bank’s payment systems while ensuring security, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. The role focuses on enhancing payment operations, managing risks, and collaborating with vendors to maintain robust and reliable solutions. This position offers the opportunity to support internal teams through training, provide expert guidance on payment-related inquiries, and drive continuous process improvements across the organization.
Your AMINA To-Do List
  • Payment System Oversight: Monitor, evaluate, and optimize payment systems, ensuring they are efficient, secure, and compliant with regulatory standards. 
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline payment processes, enhance operational efficiency, and reduce risks. 
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated with changes in payment regulations, ensuring adherence to local and international compliance requirements such as AML/KYC. 
  • Risk Management: Assess and mitigate risks associated with payment operations, including fraud and operational disruptions. 
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers to ensure the effectiveness and reliability of payment solutions and services. 
  • Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to internal teams on payment processes, systems, and regulatory requirements. 
  • Customer Support: Act as a point of contact for internal stakeholders, resolving inquiries, issues, and escalations related to payments. 
Your golden ticket to the AMINA team:
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification preferred.  
  • Expertise: Minimum of 5 years of experience in payments operations, with in-depth knowledge of payment systems, processes, and regulations.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial regulations governing payments, including but not limited to SWIFT, SEPA, and local regulatory frameworks.  
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations for process improvement.  
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely to diverse stakeholders.  
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Proven ability to identify and solve complex payment-related issues efficiently and effectively.  
  • Team Collaboration: Strong collaborative skills with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams and foster a culture of cooperation and knowledge sharing.  
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and precision in all aspects of payment operations and compliance.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a willingness to adapt to changing priorities and evolving regulatory landscapes.
